  1. +Al Chris back when I was starting out in photography I really wanted a long lens, I started with a manual focus 100-300mm f5.6 which i got off ebay for 50 bucks :) I still have it and it is a fine lens for its age and f/5.6-ness. Shortly thereafter I was lucky enough to buy a second hand 300mm f4, alot of my lens are secondhand :) the 300mm f/4 is a really nice lens and affordable (buy them new now for about 1K), I also bought, some years later, a teleconverter, again secondhand from a mate :) which is the combination here. Nikkor 300mm f/4 with a 1.7 (TC17EII) which on full frame gets me to about 500mm focal length which these are taken at :) A better lens would be one with stabilisation tho, there are some great offerings from sigma in this area, like the 50-500mm and they are pretty cheap :)

  2. +Carolyn Fahm I would love to see the Blue Angels :) The ones in the middle shot are the Russian Roulettes, the bottom are from 'Paul Bennet Airshows' in the Pitts Special (S2) and the top image has a Extra 300 (from memory) in the centre with Pitts Specials either side.
