Ghost fungi, Omphalotus nidiformis
I tried a different technique on these ones, luckily it was pretty late hence I only got a few peeps freaking out about some dude hiding in the bushes…
Iused a black sheet to drape across a couple of tripods, a stinky bin and some spikey plants all in the name of blocking out the street lights and the moon. For these I actually used a torch to light paint the scene and then blend this into the frame with the glowing fungi.
I did notice something very cool about these ones – other than the fact you can see the glow under the sheet – that is, they emit steam. It’s either that or the local slugs have taken up a filthy smoking habit.
