Junction Falls

A real gem of a falls, reminded me of the falls down in Valley of the Waters, jet black rock with whispers of water drifting over the edge to finally tumble gently on golden paths

lots of landscape shots stitched together to provide a panoramic view of this falls, 5 images from memory.

Techie data:
D7000 with Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 @ 12mm Aperture: f/8 and Shutter Speed: 6s
out front – Hoya screw in circular polariser and neutral density filter (3 stops)

As always, I welcome any suggestions, comments and improvements to my photography, they are always warmly welcomed!

  1. A spectacular view, composed with excellence, Gerard. A different processing would be the only possible way to "improve" it but I'm not sure it could, probably only yielding a different but not necessarily better result. It's certainly not needed at any rate and would take us straight into the subjective realm… 😉

  2. +Gerard Blacklock. Beautiful piece of work! I live in Lawson so the four waterfall walk is my local. Good to see more water than there has been over the last year. Drop in for a "real" coffee next time you're up here.

  3. thanks +Ian Browne , the thing with this scene is that even with a fisheye you would struggle to fit it in, hence why i stitch wide angle shots together – it's a bit of pain to remove the distortion but once you get the hang of it it can be done pretty quickly.

  4. Thanks +Double Shot , you live in a sweet spot, I only got to the junction falls since i was feeling pretty knackered by that stage since I had done leura and bridal veil falls before hand. I would be keen to see the federal falls and also cataract falls, I will drop you a message when i go again, a real coffee would be appreciated 🙂

  5. +Gerard Blacklock Cataract Falls unspectacular and really hard to get a good angle on. There's also supposed to be a Leslie Falls south of Junction Falls but I've yet to work out how to get there and I've not seen any images of it.
