For the Blue moon event, which will of course be clouded in πŸ˜‰
(thats reverse psychology right there mother nature, take heed πŸ˜‰ )

Bro, you so cute.

Bro, you so cute.
But damn… up close man, your giving me nightmares.
Meet Gregory, our resident one armed bandit pet stick insect. He was fanging for some food after an extended period fasting – thats code for someone, them kids, forgetting to give him fresh leaves. No word of a lie, you can watch these guys literally just mow down a leaf.. and check out that articulation on the head, I thought he had done himself an injury, but that’s actually how he moves to eat by rotating his head. Dude has ears too by the looks of things πŸ™‚ and those eye balls, bonkers.
nature and evolution is just next level…
Taken with my clapped out old nikkor micro 55mm f2.8 (paid a 100 bucks for that like 10 years ago) coupled with a PK-13 extension tube, this gives close to a 1:2 scale reproduction ratio which is pretty damn close up… also with a flash and a soft diffuser. These where mostly at f22 or f16.

We have all probably experienced it as some time and its not very nice
I was at the skate park the other day with Little E who loves to rip it up with the all the older skater dudes on her bike, basically just riding the track over the humps and up the ramps. Its a cool spot and community of people who are all pretty accepting of all people in the skate park, kids and roller bladers, scooters, bikes you name it…
Anyway, Little E was flogging up the ramp at one end of the park when her bike chain pops off (yeah good one dad, you probably should fix that), anyway she is free wheeling and struggling up onto the landing where there are 3 guys waiting, one guy with out missing a beat just gets up and grabbed the bike to help her up and straight away gets his hands on the chain to put it back on ignoring the fact its filthy and covered in grease (yeah good one dad again) – by the time I had gotten over to her the guy pretty well had the chain back on and was wiping his hands on the nearby grass. This guy is probably someone you would probably cross to the other side of the street if you saw him coming your way πŸ™ but clearly has a heart of gold. Hats off you smelly skater dude πŸ˜‰

The majority of the people in the world are genuine, beautiful people.. even if they do not look like it.

Trickle Down Economics..

Trickle Down Economics..

here’s a thought for gerry’s monday night economics session…
why do we not target inflation measures in the same way ? πŸ˜‰

probably a reason why I’m an engineer and not a economist πŸ™‚

Anyway, here’s a bunch of ‘trickling’ images from awhile back with the Rodninator (aka Rodney Campbell). A cool spot I found in the blue mountains which was perfect for some light painting shenanigans..

Bird.

Bird.
Not really a bird fan, but it is fun to try and take pictures of them, especially these little devils, they are so damn fast and small and literally disappear when they hear the shutter click. I only took about 15 thousand shots to get one decent one πŸ˜‰
600mm f6.3 ISO 400 shutter 1/250.

Star Navigation.

Star Navigation.

It all seems like a great idea from the comfort of the car, but then you get out there and its dark, cold and in this case.. just down right sandy and I think, seriously?

To top it all off navigating sand dunes in the dark is pretty hard, whilst I could just use my GPS or phone, I elected to use stars, so I picked one particular bright one that was close to the dune exit point and followed it.. needless to say.. i did find my way out eventually πŸ™‚ albeit with shoes full of sand and almost going head first off a rather large dune drop off in the dark πŸ™‚

House on a Hill.

House on a Hill.
I think I like this one better than the last – without even realising it i caught a bunch of birds flying past (no AI generated birdies here πŸ˜‰ )
Somewhere out near Tarana which is kinda close to Cooma.
Its probably a nice Airbnb, but i reckon a tree or two would not go astray πŸ™‚
