* Stick, Stuck in the Sand*

So, whaddya reckon you find out on the sand dunes in Oz? (animals that is)

Well, i would not have believed it if I did not see it with my own eyes, but frogs… yep, way out here on the dunes with the occasional stick aka long gone tree there are a army of the frogs. Hopping each and every way, this one just one very small patch of dune which had half a dozen frog tracks, multiple this by 4 dunes (which I walked over) and thats lotta frogs!

so zoom on in and take a look if ya don't believe me 🙂

Family

and there were 4 in the dunes and the little one said.. where to now?

This scene with the grass clumps reminds me of my own family, my beautiful partner (wifey) front row centre, mayhem off to the left (and as always.. heading off to explore with no fear), me , i am the big clump off to the right with chaos close by keeping a eye on me 🙂

Its a big world out there 🙂

Whilst our dune-age here in NSW Australia does not compare to the stuff in the middle of the county or even some the awesome ones over in other countries, I still love getting out there and trying to capture that expansive, bleak and textured scenes – i hope I have acheived it here and gotten you lost in the scale of the vanishing horizon and classic big blue aussie sky.

Natural Death

After looking at the remains of many of the trees in this part of the Stockton Dunes, it did dawn on me that there was at some time human intervention on alot of the trees, most trees had been sawn off – maybe that's why they banned camping on the dunes? people cutting down the nearest tree for some firewood 🙂

4 frame (non-bracketed) panorama 🙂
