Its been a tough old time for the airlines, some regulars still managed to keep going over the last couple of years, but its all newer 777’s and 787’s and a smattering of scarebuses.. I cant remember the last time i saw a A380 or a 747

Its amazing to see how photography has developed and changed over the years, particularly when looking at images from 100 years ago, i found some images from a local Port Macquarie guy Thomas Dick (on a side note what were his parents thinking with that name ) from way back when..

“Thomas Dick was interested in the local Birpai people and concerned with their welfare. He believed that Indigenous people were dying out and, before their way of life was lost forever, sought to record how they had lived before European colonisation. With the help of a group of Birpai, Dick used three cameras — a Ruby Reflex and two Thornton Pickards — to take hundreds of photographs of re-enacted scenes of traditional Birpai activities”
