Eye of the Tiger

Somebody put some tigers in the Argyle Arch…. then all these people came down to have a look 🙂

Luckily the projection sequence is relatively short because I tell ya what you get pretty cold sitting on road looking up at this!

h/t to +Samyang UK – UK Digital and the Samyang 14mm f/2.8 lens, this is one stellar little lens – even shooting at f2.8 and taking a educated punt on the manual focus results in pretty sweet results. This thing craps all over my Nikkor 16-35 f4 lens, even looking at low res files between the two lens the results are quite apparent.
My only regret is not getting it sooner …

Bringing new life to a 1845 circa building

Customs House Sydney

Another TDC production item at the Sydney Vivid Festival 2015, the focus has definitely been on animation and 3D this year and the Customs House display does not disappoint in that regard.

To the average punter it does look awesome but looking deeper into there are quite a few intricacies to really make it stand out, the detail and complimenting animation with the building structure is actually quite well thought out and also the way the scenes utilise building structure is clever, h/t to the content providers and TDC.

This one is a contact sheet of some of my favourite scenes from this display, nice sharp and high res, zooom on in to check it out.
Vertical goodness just for google plus.
