The Motions of Life.

The Motions of Life.

This is another on of those places you could just throw your drone at the scene and you will get something decent.

I took a bunch of shots here and they looked pretty good on the phone screen as I was flying over, but its really hard to get a good sense of the composition etc on such a small screen, anyways I do like this one and it reminded me of the cool scenes of Lake Eyre in Oz.

Hopkins Valley NZ, this is on the mouth of the river.

Hopkins Valley View. NZ.

Hopkins Valley View. NZ.

Thats Mount Glenmary on the right, if you follow the valley up that on the right hand side you will eventually get to mount Sealy which I think is pretty much a dead end, but over that and you back to Mount Cook. Looks easy on the map 🙂

Head to the left and your following the Hopkins River up to another dead end, probably some mad hiking trails over these spots tho.

Waiting for the stars.

Waiting for the stars.

It would be very much remit of us (Rodney Campbell) to not utilise the wonderful pine forests New Zealand has to offer. Whilst they may need some improvements on their row alignment this little stand of trees near Twizel did provide some entertainment for us while we waited for the clouds to part and the stars to reveal themselves for some astro shots.

Iceberg.

Iceberg.

Ran out of toilet paper today, so had to start using lettuce leaves… today was the tip of the iceberg.

you know how many more iceberg shots I have? enough for weeks of really quality puns, but i’ll spare the pain 🙂
