Seems the trend at the moment is to post about some ‘secret’ waterfall, or swimming hole, so here’s mine. The secret stick falls, ya’all never find it…. hashtag blessed, pray, nature etc..
Nearly did not even get in the air , seems DJI has broken the fly app with android 12, fixed that problem with using dronelink, which seems ok.
If you have the same issue with the recent
Fomo strikes again. Its 3:52am in the morning and I had already convinced myself that staying in bed was a much wiser choice, but the fomo doubt crept in, the conditions were good, low tide,
cloudy, it could be really nice… so against my better judgement I drove down at stupid o’clock to this over photographed location (easy to see why tho). The last time i was here for sunrise was in 2013, FYI, rocks still in the same place some more green stuff, a new set of stairs in progress and thats about it…So of course it rained, like that rain which stops and starts every 5 minutes and just seems to be sent by some devil worshiping demi-god pissed off with anyone takingβ¦ More
There is this tiny little ledge at Centennial Glen, its off to the right and you can kinda crawl along until you get a view of the falls such that you can see the top of the falls, which
from most other positions is obscured by the mini canyon rocks. The width of the ledge is about the width of my size 14 hoofers so I’m sure one can appreciate what it would look like to see me crouched on this ledge with a tripod and camera trying not to fall into the water.. which is probably less of concern than the family of spiders sheltering in the nooks of the rocks right next to my head
Its that, or i have grown, the latter is highly unlikely. Every time I visit Centennial Glen and Porters pass it feels like i gotta bend over more to crawl around the rock ledge…
I love
this spot (excluding the height challenging ledge) and conditions are great at the moment, fog, rain and lots of water. So I had this well laid plan to visit a spot that would be pretty quiet with a nice stroll in the bush to check out a few low key waterfalls. Well clearly
the rest of Sydney and the Albion park yocals did not get the memo…This place was busier then the freakin’ shopping centre that i go to in Sydney..
Anyway, some of the ‘cascades’ are quite nice and there is plenty of space to find your own little spot and that what I did for a few shot…
We did hit the cliche curly tree for a shot and that was fun
good time to try out the #kasefilters magnetic CPL and ND
I don’t reckon I would ever get bored of making these

It does not matter where in the world you are, Oz, scotland where ever, there has gotta be a universal hatred for this little buggers – mozzies are bad, but at least you have half a chance without bug
spray, you can slap them, wave ’em or whatever and come out somewhat ok.. Midges on the other hand, these are like the ninja cousins of the mosquitos, tiny little specs that you barely feel and to make matters worse these little buggers get onto you then crawl around before biting.I spent just about my whole break with a grand total of 3 mozzie bites until one day where I let my guard down with no bug spray on.. in grand space of 7.5 minutes i was destroyed and destined to days in the itchy sin-bin.
A few photos as my legs were prime feeding ground for the local midge population..
