Solitude

A state of isolation or seclusion – well i would have felt like this at this location however I had enough mosquitoes to literally carry me away.

Pretty much cloudless except for a few fluffies wandering past but i still liked the pastel tones coming off the predawn sun.

techie stuff:
D7000 coupled with 17-55mm f2.8 @ Aperture: f/8 and Shutter Speed: 229s
out front – LEE bigstopper, LEE graduated filter 0.9 and screw in circular polariser (just 'cause i would have had to swat 15 billion mosquitoes whilst getting it off πŸ™‚ )

As always, I welcome any suggestions, comments and improvements to my photography, they are always warmly welcomed!

Thankyou to you all who comment and plus my posts, I do appreciate it and do try and at respond to everyone πŸ™‚ Rest assured I am always checking out my commenters streams (when i probably should be doing something else πŸ™‚ )

  1. Excellent image +Gerard Blacklock πŸ™‚ what i would do if it was my image would be to clone out the little trees to the left o the first stump so you can count the stumps from front to back and also the signs on the horizon. Little things and not worth re-posting over. Just my 2 cents. I'm liking the negative space as well.

Thanks for the feedback, very much appreciated and well spotted, i did consider doing some further cloning (i cloned a single little stump off to the right) but did not think it would make a big difference however, now that you point it out I definitely agree that removing those little ones does make it better, also those nav markers on the horizon will also get the chop πŸ™‚
    Thanks again for helping #improvemyphoto

  3. Gorgeous image! Chuckled at the line about the Mosquitos. We used a product from Australia called Rid for the Mosquitos of PNG. It helped! I can not find it in the USA . Your country is rather breath taking!
