Govetts Leap

Govetts Leap
A couple of panos looking back from Barrows Lookout, if you look to the left of the frames you can see Williams tracks, thats the stairs going down the side of the cliff 🙂 anyone up for some calf muscle workouts ? 🙂 The white dots are supply bags as they seem to be doing a few renos on it.
Whilst its not the same scale as say Norwegian hills, its still pretty impressive and you can literally see the layers of time exposed in the rock faces.

I loved the way the clouds mimic the rock fingers on the foreground of this shot – which segways into this weeks awesome pun session.. which part of your body is most reliable ? you can always count on your fingers 🙂

I love looking for fungi and taking pictures of them, unlike snakes, at least these killers can’t move 🙂
A key message from fungimap, which sums it up..
“Fungimap does not encourage eating wild Australian mushrooms because so little is known about their edibility and many poisonous species are virtually indistinguishable from safe varieties.” Pano shots, 3 stitched shots for each one.

I found this pretty cool fungi cluster on a log in the creek, it was next to a few nice small cascades which could not be left un-photographed (yep thats a word now.)
Both shots are stitched panos using the 24-70mm lens. The waterfall one I was trying to get a bit more compression on the scene so the log did not look so small.. kinda worked. The norizontal one.. well, that was purely dictated by where I could put my hoofs and keep them dry. Coachwood Glen, Blackheath
(on a funny side note, imagine having your last name the same as the town you live in… 🙂 what a cool way to spin people out when you meet them 🙂 )

your only as good as your next pun.. and sheesh i’m just warming up 2024.
(its ok to take a philosophical stand and unfriend me now because of my poor jokes 🙂 i won’t judge you… much ) This was at a cool little place called New Zealand Beach which is predominanty accessed only at lowish tides, dunno why its called this, it ain’t in New Zealand.. does not look like New Zealand…got nothing to do with it that I can see. This particular evening it was looking pretty interesting with sun rays from the sunset behind me and storm clouds everywhere and a rainbow popping in the join the fun.

Arms day.

Arms day.
Whilst not as big as the big red roo’s you see further inland, this alpha male was certainly one that would give you pause.
Luckily his nuts are blurred (f2.8 all the way), I reckon the internet would censor me for those 🙂
