Muellers Pass Campsite

We (Lorena Blacklock) found a pretty nice spot that was relatively flat, free of large rocks and out of the wind and by with some good fortune on the weather front the sky cleared up for sunset and into the evening which conveniently aligned with some dark night and part of the milkyway rising.

This shot is a panorama of 3 vertical landscape orientation shots on the 14mm, no blending, simply stitching to get a wider field of view. There was none, or very little light pollution on the horizon which is looking back towards Jindabyne and its cool how well you can see the stars on the horizon…

Seaman’s Hut

Its been a few years since I have been here, the last time I noticed the foundations of the new toilet, circa 2019 from memory. Seems its been on the cards since way back in 2017 and mainly driven from the large number of people who camp near the hut in both summer and winter and the need to address the …. crap situation there

I can report, the toilet is pretty good, blends in and matches the style of the hut and is hidden from view in most cases even with its elevated position. What I do like and it’s a very smart move, is the fact the toilet has a large full width skylight and is quite large, which makes a pleasant change from the dingy dark shoebox style ones you often see..

No need to walk all the way up to Rawsons pass to go to the dunny now

What does a cloud wear under his raincoat?

The high country in Kosciusko National Park is nothing short of spectacular, this particular scene unfolds as you come off the top of Carruthers Peak and start the first descent on the main range track.
Mout Kosi can be seen in the distance and if you look carefully you can even see Rawsons pass and the track leading down to Seamans hut.
Something I never realised was that Carruthers Peak and the surrounds in the now National park were heavily grazed and burned in the late 1800’s and well

Princes Rock Lookout – Bushwalking.

Bushwalking with these clowns is an absolute hoot… the older one is busy trying to find a suitable tree to practice pole dancing (don’t ask.. i blame youtube) .. the middle one is more worried about making sure the teddy bear gets a good view and is not cold… and little E is like a wind ’em up jack in the box toy which has just been released after centuries of imprisonment, more energy then the other two and me combined!
