Shopping, country town style.

My kids absolutely love this little craft shop (Kendall Craft Co-op), such a great range of home made goodies and so many cool soft toys (like we need any more of those right Sarah Joy), Little E picked up a really cool little stuffed cat toy (the best kind of cat oohhh i hear you say, thats a low blow )

Great to see them open again after a long covid hiatus…

What I loved about my grandparents is that they did not worry about kids climbing on stuff, even when I told my kids to be careful they were like ‘its ok they are alright’ or ‘just watch out you don’t hurt yourself’

As i look at our lounge at home, with pen marks, stains and god knows what else.. really, does it matter? your only on this planet for a short time, there are bigger and better things to worry about…

Here’s little E working out how to use grandpas cool chair which vibrated, lifted up, laid down and generally is the coolest thing for any kid to play on…

with Kase Magnetic Filters KW-CPL and KW-ND1000

What i really like about these is that you can use them with the lens hood and remove them very easily between shots where need be. Whilst not critical for this kind of scene, when your under a shower of spray in a waterfall a lens hood can make the difference between a miserable session and a great one

Seacliff Bridge

I’ve been to this spot a few times over the years, each time go i remember the first time I went here way back in 2009, before social media discovered it, back when Nearmaps (better imagery than google) was still free, which at the time was what i used to see where to walk. It was a bunch easier then, very little vegetation and it was pretty easy to go down the old road and get to the bottom, now its shin scratching spider infested, head crab eating stroll..

I go back every couple of years and its cool to see how time has worn away at it and overgrown it and restrictions put in place to stop people photographing it….

Sorry – to the couple who had their photoshoot photobombed by us, there is me carrying a 3 year old whilst yelling at chaos to stop climbing the cliffs..
sorry to the couple in the rocks who were trying to enjoy a romantic moment.. haha.. we killed that moment
not sorry to the snake i scared the crap out of when i tried to retrieve a shell from between a bunch of rocks.. thanks for that one middle daughter…. i reckon the embarrassment of getting bitten by a snake would have killed me before it did

Sometimes you need to look back to see the path forward.

although I suspect sometimes it’s better to blindly forge ahead for the journey behind can tear you down.

Apparently I should update my photoshop version to get all this new fangled sky replacement wizardry which is causing the photographic world to get their nickers in a knot

for the record, no skies replaced here.. these were real and dumped a bunch of rain on us
