Long Nose Point
Geez, somebody opened the door to winter.. 9 freaking degrees in Sydney….
windchill factor sitting on the cliffs of kurnell.. very fing cold. Nice sunrise tho, a few moments of nice colour as the rain clouds moved on in…

Flame Resonance Extractor.
See.. even two plebs like me and the rodinator (Rodney Campbell) get that ya gotta channel that flame sh$t out somewhere… even NASA on their Saturn rockets worked it out, yet SpaceX Heavy just goes, meh, lets just put a bit of concrete with some tin wire in it to erode away as 16 millons pounds of thrust push that tin can into space 🙂
If they are that happy when it fails and self destructs then I can only imagine the party thats gonna happen when they get the thing into orbit 🙂
For those who do not follow whats happening in the space world all that will make no sense 😉
here’s a cool space dad joke anyways 🙂
Why did the astronaut break up with his girlfriend?
.
.
He just needed space.
This shot took awhile, single shot, no blends, no AI – although I am interested to know what happens when I put a query into a popular photo-AI program that goes alittle like “2 nut jobs under a bridge simulating flame extraction with steel wool, EL wire and a bit-whip”
Single shot 671 seconds, thats like 11 minutes 🙂 @ f8 14mm.

Tassie Overland Track here we come.
Well, ok maybe a bit more practice and I reckon the little E might need to be able to see over the grass she is walking thru before we hit that one.
A fun short overnight hike, the perfect length for the youngest one which had it all, seaside cliffs, leech infested forest, never ending stairs and sandy beaches.
The Burgh Track, Coastal Walk and North Era Campsite, Royal National Park.
Took a few pictures and the weather fined up real nice for some astro shots, I should have stayed up later, the MW core was just coming thru when I went to bed 🙂

End of an Era or the start of one?
at North Era campsite 🙂
Careful, I’m just warming up on the dad jokes 🙂
Taken at probably the only dry patch of grass at the entire campsite shared with the local deer population. I think its probably time for the good folk at OEH/NPWS or frogs and logs or whatever they are referred to this week to have a look at some additional campsites in the Royal National Park.
The fact there is more locations for heritage huts then there is for public walk in camp grounds in one of the most speccy national parks within 1 hour of Sydney is bonkers.
Single shot @ 20mm f1.6 20 sec ISO 1250.
North Era Campsite Royal National Park aka swampland with two inaccessible dunnies.

Milkyway.
I would have found a nicer foreground, but it seems everything in this state (NT) is out to either kill you or make your life very uncomfortable.
We may not be alone in this universe, but sure as sh$t i was not alone standing here in the pitch dark. Whether it be the local buffalo or the bird size mozzies there were more pressing issues than contemplating the serenity of our local galaxy.
At least there was no traffic 🙂
5 horizontal images @ 14mm stitched together, got rid of all those annoying shootings stars as well 😉
