Spider Moon.

Spider Moon.
No need to get up at sunrise and go for a walk in the bush to get a face full of spiders, I can now do it in the backyard with my new pal. SPider moon.
Thankfully after wearing his spidery buttcheeks more than once he decided to move his web out of the walkway onto the side of the garden which, conveniently placed him right in front of the moon the other night,
Its a bit harder than it looks to get the moon and the spider in the same shot (without compositing anyway) ya gotta line them up and then wait for the spider to stop moving around enough to et a sharp shot…and by that time the moon has moved.. πŸ˜‰ I used a off camera flash ( on rear) as well which gives it the frontal lighting..
cool looking spider i reckon.

Govetts Leap.

Govetts Leap.
Thru the trees. I was steamin’ up the stairs to find a nice clear view of the valley but spotted this nice gap which kinda worked well with the trees and the light was still nice…

Pandanus.

Pandanus.
My little old weathered pandaus tree, I reckon i have photographed every angle on this little guy, however this time I tried a different composition with the tanin stained creek in the foreground and super wide, more that 180 degree field of view.

Lightning

Lightning
Walking back along the beech there was heaps of lightning action off in the distance – at 35mm i did not have much chance but I did sit here and take a couple of longish 4 minute exposures, oddly enough, one did capture a nice bolt, even if it was a long way away – probably a good thing πŸ™‚ Knowing my luck i would get nailed πŸ™‚

Fungi.

Fungi.

This one is sooo cool, you can literally see the spore point and where it started, such great light as well, I was prepared with my off camera flash and all, but the cloud overcast day with the tree canopy just made for a perfect light box.

Govetts Leap

Govetts Leap
A couple of panos looking back from Barrows Lookout, if you look to the left of the frames you can see Williams tracks, thats the stairs going down the side of the cliff πŸ™‚ anyone up for some calf muscle workouts ? πŸ™‚ The white dots are supply bags as they seem to be doing a few renos on it.
Whilst its not the same scale as say Norwegian hills, its still pretty impressive and you can literally see the layers of time exposed in the rock faces.
