Cockatoo Island and Lost Tools of Henry Hoke Exhibition

A great Exhibition!

The story of Australian genius thwarted. Where would we be with the conveniences of modern life such as the Waterproof Tap, the Population Tool or Dehydrated Pills – haven’t you ever wondered where they came from? These unique and intriguing inventions, along many others, were created by the now forgotten Henry Hoke, the innovative genius behind these strokes of genius. What became apparent, after exhaustive research by the Institute of Backyard Studies, was that Henry Hoke was a man whose intellect ranged far and wide over the broadest field of human endeavour imaginable and even, at times, beyond. His working experiences apparently included a remarkable stint in the Cockatoo Island Dockyards. Set against the backdrop of remnant island machinery, this satirical exhibition will amuse and delight.
