Caution sydney peoples, its gonna be stormy 2 weeks ahead, maybe back off with the vigilantism….

actually here’s a suggestion, don’t discuss covid crap on social media, use social media for actually interesting and fun stuff not bagging the government, your neighbor or the dude with the dog down the street….

First Bike Ride

Little E is certainly gonna be the most stubborn of all refuses help from anyone and must do it all.. by herself

Hell bent on tearing apart the backyard on her (handme down from Unit 2) new bike I thought it best to get some space to practice – she is surprisingly very good, first time at the park with the bike and training wheels. She is probably a bit small for it still, but no point buying another bike just for a few months i figure

Found a cool bubble tea stall selling homemade tea to raise money for stray cats manned by Chaos and crew, they had fleeced many park patrons of their hard earned money with cute smile and animal guilt probably earned more per hour then i do

3 Sisters and the Feral (Federal even) Pass

So, like the rest of the population of Sydney we decided to hit the Blue Mountains for a bush walk, its been 7 or 8 years since I have done this walk and its a good one since you can catch the railway back up the cliff which i figured was a good option for the leg length challenged among us

Little E did about 70% of the 4km walk and walked down every one of the 1000 steps down to federal pass – her quote of the day, stated many times, ‘ I don’t need help’

Whilst there was a ton of people up the top, this thinned out very quick as the steps down the 3 Sister progressed, it was actually quite nice and quiet one we got to the bottom and we only had to wait 20 minutes for the train, which for a long weekend… is pretty good i reckon.

Archibald – Art Gallery.

Its very interesting to look at the winning entries over the last 100 years and very ironic that the winner this year was a portrait of a 100 year old dude who won the same prize back in 1985, pretty cool.

I’m not much on the abstract portraits for which there has been several in recent years, but I did enjoy the few ultra realistic portraits this year and also a cool one of a guy sleeping and the sea behind him.

Probably go without kids if possible you will see more

George St.

I reckon its been nearly 18 months since I have walked in the CBD, have not missed it one bit

Someone went put in these tram tracks everywhere, combine this with social distancing and I present you the the human pinball machine

Whale Fun facts

Bowhead whales are the longest living mammals on earth and can live for more than 200 years
and wait for it…. What type of whales can fly? Pilot whales!

Didn’t see any whales, but found some cool puddles to play in

Too cold?

Never too cold for Little Bay What a trio of troopers these kids are… blowing a gale, 20 ft waves and still keen to collect some shells and climb some rocks

No insta fans out in their bikinis this weekend, just a few hardcore locals enjoying the serenity Pretty intense waves this weekend, I have never seen waves that big at entrance of little bay.

Gerry’s top tip for Sunday evening? make sure you get the shells out of the pockets before washing the clothes shell washed undies anyone

Ten Peaks

I got a bunch of images from this walk and have gone thru alot of them – which is a bit unusual for me, typically i run out of time and forget and hence alot sit on the harddrive waiting for some love.
Not this time tho, I have taken a few of the better ones and dumped them into this gallery

I do like to present individual images, or a small number, i think slowing down and valuing individual images is important in this day of image saturation and overload. Being presented with just a single image or a couple means you really engage with them rather than swiping right continually.

Anyhows, I threw all that theory out the window and have just dumped them here some are duplicates from previous posts

They are also in order or the walk as you travel from Charlottes Pass anticlockwise around the Main range track.
