I have seen a few trees in the water, lone trees, striking a blow for life in a harsh environment, made harder by those clowns called humans :)

This tree seems to be a bit of an exception, it along with its mate around the corner are quite vibrant, strong and rather large trees. Looking back over the years and seeing images of the Nudgee Beach, Beachmere, Salmanda bay etc trees and how they are slowy losing limbs (not necessarily thru any human intervention i think) i can't think of a lonely tree in the water who striving like this guy.

This was just a quick visit with chaos (who agreed to do a mighty battle with the mozzies) at low tide, at mid or high tide its all covered which makes for a very nice sight.

Its been awhile since I have put in exif data and spiel about how a image was created, so why not 🙂

This image is created from 3 bracketed shots, the sun had just gone down behind the tree, but the scene was still very bright with plenty of dynamic range, a singe shot resulted in the foreground be very dark and losing that nice detail in the rocks, hence the choice on bracketing…I really like the way the sun created the glow behind the tree, at first I tried to maintain all the highlights and keep the colours in the middle but it ended up being flat and uninspiring, I found the scene felt truer (thats a real word btw 😉 ) to how i saw it when i let the highligts go which also brought back that ethereal glow.

Little E vs popup toy

Its not the wrong, nor the mistake that is important, but the way you deal with

Be the one that shines the light not the one that casts the shadow.

If its one thing I have learnt from my kids (and still am learning) is that irrespective of whether I'm right (we all know I always am right 😉 ) or not, my behavior can make all the difference in the outcome of the situation.

I'm available for further inspirational quotes as required 🙂

Poor Neigh-Neigh

Poor Neigh-Neigh, your time for rest will be soon, you have survived (except for that missing tail) Chaos and Tickles and you gotta be nearly 8 years old… its been a hard road and with a bit of luck LittleE will move onto something else once those teeth come thru 🙂

Savour this moment peeps.. cause these kinda pictures do not come round very often and when they do, very rarely do they see the light of day ;)

Taken half way on the Blue Lake walk in the Kosi National park, littleE deserves a shout out for her effort, even if she was carried by mum for the entire way, she did it with grace and style (and slept most of it) 🙂

Ta to Sarah for the picture 🙂 nailed it mate.
