Airshow Light.

I think Airshows should employ me to give them some advice on crowd viewing spots… i must have walked up and down this feaking runway at Avalon half a dozen times to try and get some nice light. I’m pretty sure the gold class stands would have been pretty good, however after being fleeced by Jetstar with absolutely stupid airfares there was no way i was paying the 200+ bucks to sit in a stand.

Really they need a viewing place on the other side of the runway, if that ain’t possible, just swap the airshow to the other side of the runway 🙂 your gonna get much nice light for the majority of the afternoon 🙂

There was some really nice patches of light and cloud depending on what part of the sky the aircraft were at, I really like this one, you could be forgiven thinking that its flogging along at 20,000 ft, but really its probably less than a 1000ft off the deck, great looking aircraft too, even if they are old 🙂

Here is a Airbus A330 piloted by women… being chased or maybe escorted (depending on your perspective) by some hoon Fa/18’s piloted by women as well… and there is also some ground crew who are also women.

Not everyday you see a airliner being escorted by some military aircraft, hopefully I never see that in anger and only at scareshows 🙂

Probably one of my favourite walks in the Royal National Park, pretty much head in the opposite direction to the crowds at Wattamolla and there is plenty of space and views.

Whilst I’m not a big fan of board walks, I think used appropriately they can really help access for people and also protect the trails from being flogged out.

Pride.
The rainbow flag and the whole pride movement has certainly been picked up by the various corporations, its easy PR win, whether it be rainbow oreos or the local shopping centre slaying it… 🙂
Its important to remember where it came from and those people back in 1978 who really put their lives on the line for a cause they believed in. So when your government (and your fellow citizens) try and take away those freedoms of protest and expression, be sure to speak up… even if it is those annoying greenies chaining themselves to trees 🙂 cause like the Franklin or Lake pedder.. history is gonna judge you.
I could not find my harness and gold hot pants, so the best i could do is take a few photos and get mashed in a crowd of sweaty half naked bodies. Anyone wanna tell me a good spot for next year ? 😉
