She'll be right.. just pick a road and run with it, they all lead to the same place

Hey look there's a cliche picture of dude with a torch pointed to the stars <insert corny inspirational quote here>
(well hand me down sister's toys 🙂 )
Aww.. c'mon sis no laughing at my leg fat rolls
I don't always eat my toy horse, but when I do, I try to be cute
2 smiles in a row 🙂 thats gotta be a record Tickles
(well Little E still reckons so)
Thats a Coral coloured cardy i'll have you know
I have been walking past/thru this place a bit lately. Its not really as inspiring as all the images on the web make it out to be, took me a awhile to even bring the camera along 🙂 . One caption from the wall/info sheet had me going, something to the effect that the curves of the tunnel help with larger pedestrian flow.. lol yeah right.. the engineer in me just says you make the tunnel heaps wide to fit heaps of people, simple.. it ain't rocket science.. then the common sense in me wants to slap someone for putting a single escalator at the end… thats a bit like the M5 when it it hits the tunnel.
All that said and well at least its probably better than the Central Train Station Pedestrian tunnel.. just without any soul.
FFS dad, hurry up… its more fun sticking my thumb in my ear than sitting here waiting for you to take a photo …
Sometimes I read the books..
Sometimes I gum them…
Sometimes I just like to see how they fall on the floor.
but by gees.. its sooo cool that I can reach them myself now
one day this child will appreciate having a Dad who like to take photos 🙂 instead of trying to get away
Imagine standing on Centrepoint tower.. or the eye or whatever they choose to call it today and having the whole city around you obliterated by a supersized transformer with a concrete chainsaw cutting down the buildings aka grass. Well thats probably how this little dude felt as I tore thru the garden and probably removed half his mates and the local water hole …
Nonetheless, after all the grass cuttings settled.. here he was chilled and hanging about in a little tree like it was no body's business….
probably too shell shocked to move ..
view this large.. its worth it.
also commonly known as a beanie : )
This tree seems to be a bit of an exception, it along with its mate around the corner are quite vibrant, strong and rather large trees. Looking back over the years and seeing images of the Nudgee Beach, Beachmere, Salmanda bay etc trees and how they are slowy losing limbs (not necessarily thru any human intervention i think) i can't think of a lonely tree in the water who striving like this guy.
This was just a quick visit with chaos (who agreed to do a mighty battle with the mozzies) at low tide, at mid or high tide its all covered which makes for a very nice sight.
Its been awhile since I have put in exif data and spiel about how a image was created, so why not 🙂
This image is created from 3 bracketed shots, the sun had just gone down behind the tree, but the scene was still very bright with plenty of dynamic range, a singe shot resulted in the foreground be very dark and losing that nice detail in the rocks, hence the choice on bracketing…I really like the way the sun created the glow behind the tree, at first I tried to maintain all the highlights and keep the colours in the middle but it ended up being flat and uninspiring, I found the scene felt truer (thats a real word btw 😉 ) to how i saw it when i let the highligts go which also brought back that ethereal glow.
