I have been walking past/thru this place a bit lately. Its not really as inspiring as all the images on the web make it out to be, took me a awhile to even bring the camera along π . One caption from the wall/info sheet had me going, something to the effect that the curves of the tunnel help with larger pedestrian flow.. lol yeah right.. the engineer in me just says you make the tunnel heaps wide to fit heaps of people, simple.. it ain't rocket science.. then the common sense in me wants to slap someone for putting a single escalator at the end… thats a bit like the M5 when it it hits the tunnel.
All that said and well at least its probably better than the Central Train Station Pedestrian tunnel.. just without any soul.

And to think these engineers are on the big dollars lol
The engineers said they wanted 4 escalators. The person controlling the money said no
+Jason Boyes probably not, if they are paid like me π
+AAron Metcalfe haha nailed it π bean counters for the win.
+Gerard Blacklock as another working in engineering we know it's the eternal struggle
+AAron Metcalfe that and project managers. .. don't get me started on buzz words π
+Gerard Blacklock how did you get the link to your collection at the bottom of your post?
+Jason Boyes Its automatic when you write the post and add it to a collection ?
+Gerard Blacklock Oh ok, never seen it and thought it might be something you add when making a post.
I normally go into my collections and make a new post from a specific collection and this never shows.
+Gerard Blacklock perfect backdrop for street photography tho π I aim to get down there next visit 😄
