Centennial Glen

Just a small small little waterfall, which, when the rain really does come, would be a absolute cracker, the only downside, you would not be able to stand here, on the slippery ass rock 🙂

6 or so shots merged into a panorama, using the Leofoto Panoramic Kit, more details on that one to come.

Emerging

Emerging…. like my Telstra Internet

I shall not delve into the recent terrors of dealing with my favourite Australia Telco (Telstra) regarding my cable modem upgrade (not by choice) other than to say, there is finally light at the end of the tunnel.

I cannot even claim victory, but at the very least my internet works.,.. and works the way I want it too 🙂

I really like this scene, but its a hard one to convey in an image, the depth and light are just something I accept will only be truly understood by being there.. the warm light, the warm tree in a sea of grey, unrecognisable twisted net and the soft (well its actually a bit spikey but hey) green grass…

Centennial Glen

Sooo, mother nature, i got a bone to pick with ya, I love how you have made all these cool places, like this neat little canyon buried on the edge of the cliffs overlooking the Megalong valley, but, and its only a little but, you could have cut the height of the dinky ledge to get to the end of it another 12 inches higher, thus accommodating me a little better without looking like a praying mantas who has rolled through the 360 loop at wet and wild 🙂 Given that it would have taken you 10 thousand years to do it, i reckon its not much to ask 🙂

Centennial Glen and Porters pass, what a great little spot, one that would be particularly awesome with a bit more water.

Don't jump in the puddle

Curtis falls is one of the many falls in and around the surrounds of Brisbane, Curtis falls does have a edge over some of the others since its easily accessible, particularly for young kids. We had driven up here for a look and the moment we got out the car it had started to rain 🙂 nicely played I say, thats gonna make for a half decent shot, thoughts of misty falls and soft lighting were washing over me 🙂

Its only a 5 minute walk down through the semi rainforest and Chaos had elected to say with me whilst I took a few shots, she should really know better by now that its never 5 minutes 🙂 Tickles and mum went for a walk to find the giant strangler fig, they are smart cookies and known when not to wait 🙂

Anyways chaos was very patience and only had one question, 'can i take my shoes and go for a splash' ? the answer was no, however with no reason, which was probably my downfall, 2 minutes later here is chaos splashing in every muddy puddle with her shoes on 🙂 worked great to get those other tourists to move on 🙂 and at least she was not in the big pond i suppose…

after we had walked back and gotten to the car, the obligatory leech inspection was due, if only I had said 'you will get leeches on ya if you jump in the creek and puddles' we might have had a somewhat drier pair of shoes, tights and shirt 🙂

for the record, i did not get any leeches 🙂

Spill

I dunno who made this sculpture, but rest assured it would have taken them a long time 🙂 pretty spherical too, not bad for a bunch of bamboo bits and some tie-wire.

Its that time of the year again and the sculptures by the sea are back, however this year the sea has kinda protested and swallowed a few up. The 5 metre swell that was about was certainly a sight to see and hear.

Single image with a red torch and some crusty old blue EL wire.
