Alien Balls

D7000 with the 17-55mm f2.8 @ 17mm cooking the sensor for well over 90seconds, no wonder i got all these hot pixels 😉

A little walk around the very interesting suburb of Pyrmont revealed someone had dropped some rather large balls in the park. Isuspect they are meant to be art, but they just look like a bunch of old pressure boilers or something from some old boat.
I do now have a neat idea for these to compliment a lightpainting scene – just need a and i'm good to go 🙂

Unknown Falls – the waterfall into the ocean.

On this particular day I was standing on the edge of some impressive rocks with the nearest civilization over 15 kilometres away, my thoughts cleared with the ocean wind that came close to blowing me over, nothing left between the ears after that 😉

Another amazing location which is situated a short drive from Sydney and provides countless locations for the aspiring nature photographer and outdoor types, i shall return, shortly 🙂

I appreciate the comments that people leave and I welcome any suggestions, comments and improvements to my photography, they are always warmly welcomed!

The Lonely Happy Fisherman

I think one often assumes that because someone is by oneself that they must be lonely – i guess in this instance i initially used the word lonely merely to describe the fact he was the only one on the beach (excluding me).
There is something refreshing and soul rejuvenating about being by oneself, to enjoy the thoughts, the sounds of the location and the isolation – for me, its a great way to recharge the batteries, ready for another week of chaos, people and life in general.

Taken with the venerable 105mm f2.5 nikkor, a lens that cost me less than 200 bucks and seems to please me more that a 1000 dollar lens 🙂

Offcentre

There is simply only one reason I took this shot, it was raining and I needed somewhere to shelter and conveniently this little 'ol iron structure provided quite the respite. Rather than sit and wait and look like a terrorist for the nearby security guard, i thought i better take a photo 🙂

It was foggy, wet and sprinkling which really suited the BW option.

The rain then stopped and i went on my merry way..back to my favourite subject..the opera house, check the next post for that one…;)

Chaos and I were gonna rearrange these plastic snails, but there were to many people around..and they are actually really heavy.

(how funny would it be to see one mounting the other?!, yeah I know immature..)

In memory of the Breitling Wing Walker Jane Wicker who died in June this year

Even the mildest aircraft incident could result in death for a wing walker, let alone any type of crash.

These women make it look easy, but very few spectators appreciate the danger they put themselves in every flight, two hats off to ya ladies.

This image was taken early this year at Avalon Airshow.

Blending the sweet lines of the F22, this thing has more curves than Mariah Carey.

the hardest thing is deciding whether to shoot from the rear or the side 🙂 or even just smack front on.
