The obligatory image with me in it – life at 2 seconds
I reckon thats when that leech nailed me ;(
How much better would this look with a nice model in a fairy dress ?!
and no i am not doing that, volunteers?

No elves, nor any fairies but there was leeches and I was kind enough to give one a ride all the way home, bloody hitchhiker.
Bridal Veil Falls, the land of endless compositions and water flows – whilst this is not actually the published 'Bridal Veil' falls I reckon this little subset of falls is just as worthy of the name. The real Bridal veil falls was also pretty damn spectacular but icovered in mist and i would have needed my 2mm f2.8 lens to have any hope of encompassing the entire scene 😉
Techie data:
D7000 with Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 hanging off the front @ Aperture: f/8 and Shutter Speed: 30s
out front -Hoya screw in circular polariser and neutral density filter (3 stops)
As always, I welcome any suggestions, comments and improvements to my photography, they are always warmly welcomed!
I certainly hope she found it, 'cause she was there for awhile 🙂
Techie stuff: ahh.. bollocks it does not matter for this one, its all in the timing, framing and context 🙂

These are very cool, you can usually only see them in the right conditions (almost raining/high humidity) but always hear them as a aircraft passes overhead.
A quick and dirty gif of some nice vortices coming off the outboard edge of the flaps.
A state of isolation or seclusion – well i would have felt like this at this location however I had enough mosquitoes to literally carry me away.
Pretty much cloudless except for a few fluffies wandering past but i still liked the pastel tones coming off the predawn sun.
techie stuff:
D7000 coupled with 17-55mm f2.8 @ Aperture: f/8 and Shutter Speed: 229s
out front – LEE bigstopper, LEE graduated filter 0.9 and screw in circular polariser (just 'cause i would have had to swat 15 billion mosquitoes whilst getting it off 🙂 )

Thankyou to you all who comment and plus my posts, I do appreciate it and do try and at respond to everyone 🙂 Rest assured I am always checking out my commenters streams (when i probably should be doing something else 🙂 )
A brave little plant clutching the cliff line with its roots – its a harsh world out there 😉
Eagle Rock selfie.
Perched precariously on a small and loose overhang which was sheltered by another larger overhang that seemed to defy the natural forces of gravity, +Rodney Campbell and myself watched the clouds roll in and felt the thunder of the surf vibrating thru the rocks 10's of metres below.
The view is across the Curracurrong Falls which, today was nothing more than a pitiful trickle even after all the rain we have had in Sydney. Further south of this point is Garie Beach, another prime location for photography.
Panorama image with a few dodgy stitching errors 🙂 made from 7 vertical images taken at f8 @ 8seconds shutter using the 17-55 mm f2.8 on D7000

Skull Cave V2
As is often the case, this morning's sunrise was non-existent, and after a few pretty epic weekday sunrise's – do the weather gods not know that photographers only go to sunrise on the weekend ?!
A short break from the rain and one of the final images from the morning.
Cheers to +Rodney Campbell for braving the conditions and the pushbike ride in and out, hope your legs are ok 🙂

Whilst the big cruise ships departed the harbour, something else arrived, encapsulated in the iron balls and equipped with a mesmerizing red eye dripping with electricity a silent pair of feet emerged….
So, there i was, 1am in the morning after finally getting tickles to sleep and enjoying a bit of quality TV and whilst tidying up the unlimited number of drawings and art and craft items which had found themselves into the cracks of the lounge when I thought – 'its been too many years since i have partaked in a little art and craft' 😉
Thus, the luminous footsteps were born, i don't think Chaos will miss those bits from her craft box!
D7000 with the 17-55mm f2.8 @ 17mm cooking the sensor for well over 90seconds, no wonder i got all these hot pixels 😉
A little walk around the very interesting suburb of Pyrmont revealed someone had dropped some rather large balls in the park. Isuspect they are meant to be art, but they just look like a bunch of old pressure boilers or something from some old boat.
I do now have a neat idea for these to compliment a lightpainting scene – just need a and i'm good to go 🙂
I could add a whole spiel of words, however (and for me in most cases) a image can often speak alot better than I can type 😉
There is something magical about the tiny grip of a child, whether it be the difference in physical size or the dependency connontations surrounding the concept, it always seems to pull at the heart strings.
Tickles.
This is a landscape version of a previous image which I decided to revisit just for the Landscape Photography Community Sunset Contest

A planet in itself.
On alittle side note anyone actually looked at the CGI images of the project site, they really oversize the green space and trees on the northern side, even to the point where they have swallowed up Observatory hill lol..yet the highrise buildings look very small. Look closely at the scale of those buildings and they are gonna be pretty huge.
I will be sure to take a few more of similar composed shots over the coming years to see the development process.
somebody spews on ya face! actually for the one doing the spewing its all a bit funny.
Nice one tickles, got me right in the face. FYI, if you ever wanted to know..baby spew does have quite a bit of acidic material in it…my lips were burning afterwards..don't worry..i had my mouth closed..just.
All that said, you can't stay cranky at a smile like this.
