  1. Thanks +Claudio Beffa , this is a bracketed shot, under, over and normal, but the focus point was the same in all of them, it s was at f16 which is usually enough to keep a scene like this fully within the hyper focal range – that said, this lens (my version) 16-35 f4 is notoriously soft 🙁
    I did focus stack a few images over the trips – however, I only noticed marginally better front to back sharpness and only where there was say a flower 12 inches off the lens and a mountain in the background…

  2. Thanks for your detailed reply +Gerard Blacklock​. Well, I think that bracketing more exposures and focus stacking each of them would be a bit too tricky to obtain just a moderate improvement in sharpness. The example that you linked is the exception that justifies this kind of complication, and I admit that's more than understandable given the nice result and the great sense of deepness.
    I prefer not to try the focus stacking, I don't want to discover if my lenses suffer of focus breathing… 😁
