Aurora Kurnellis.
Making this shot was a bit like stuffing your sleeping bag into its sack after its been sitting out for 6 months… just seems like it won’t all fit and they are bits hanging out everywhere, then you start beating it with you fist to get it in ๐ then give up and just jam it in the bottom of your pack ๐
I did manage to get most of this in, its shot at 14mm and encompasses more than 180 degree field of view..
The warm glow on the horizon is Wollongong City, then to the right of that I guess Sutherland and Cronulla, the light on the left is light spilling over from the eastern suburbs of Sydney.
In terms of the Aurora Australis, lets be honest, really there not much to really see, nothing more than a faint glow on the horizon, however I guess its a bit special since it is being seen from Sydney..
One day I will see it in Tassie ๐
