Thats me at Waterloo station, up and down the escalators just to see the sights 🙂
This station is pretty cool, its kinda in the middle of nowhere in Redfern, but guaranteed to be a hit in coming years I reckon.

I picked up a really nice old manual focus 50mm 1.4 at the Sydney camera market, my kids are really disappointed now since that means more portraits 😉
goes a bit like this.. ‘are we done yet dad ?’
me “no, just trying get the focus right’
20 shots later and I get a half decent expression without a finger or tongue pointed at me

I joined Philomena Kaarma Wijsman and Matt Kaarma to do some street photography around the CBD, I had forgotten how enjoyable this can be.
A few shots form the upper portion of the metro train station.
All taken with a fav old lens, the 135mm f2.8 AIS – great to still be able to use these old lens and made so much easier with newer cameras with the ease at which you can focus them with peak focusing.

Some cool artwork commissioned as part of the west connex roads.

and if your looking for a map of lots of artworks, this site is pretty good.

These two guys were hell bent on making sure I got a photo of them, so I obliged.
Kinda refreshing from the typical innerwest types (thats my polite term) now, reminds me of the old days where you would go to the park with nothing but a bag of tooheys new 🙂 ok.. maybe i would have taken a bag of tooheys old 🙂
their happiness brought a smile to my dial this day.

One for Lorena Blacklock

Late to the party.
A few shots from the light show last night, kinda missed the best bit but glad there was still a bit of love in the sky to give.
I think someone needs to have a word to the weather gods in the southern highlands, it was like 4 degrees on the drive back while rat running it thru the countryside and dodging kangaroos and wombats…
I think a NZ possum merino beanie and gloves would have helped…
The lights where pretty cool, not a great deal to see with the naked eye, but there was actually some beams of light to be made out rather than just a coloured glow.
