Black and White or Colour ? Posted on January 16, 2014 by gerry I think some of the textures are lost in the mono conversion, thus I am leaning towards colour.
Only looking on 7" android, but I like the B&W, nothing but the subject. (I am biased though, I like mono.)
I like the mood of the B&W. More contrast in the shadows and highlights on the rocks would make it more dynamic.
Mir gefällt die Farbversion wesentlich besser. Vielleicht würde die B&W gut aussehen wenn das untere Drittel fehlt 🙂Einen schönen Abend noch
I love the color pic way better! It seems to have more of an effect and it's really beautiful looking!

yes, the green moss contrasts with the pink in the sky but there is a mood to the B&W where the channel leads you to the horizon and beyond.
Color for sure! The gorgeous colors are lost in the B&W and in the color I can also see the gorgeous pinks of the sunset…great shot!
Colour by a long shot! There is too much depth and life in the colour photo to be sacrificed for the simplicity of black and white. Lovely

Beautiful both. :-))
The BW is nice too, but I'm more to colors.
Prefer this one on color

I like the color version more – but both are great 🙂
Bother work well, but I much prefer the colour version.
color=amazing
Colour ; )
I like both but there's something on that 'green moss spot' that say pick me! ;D
Color for me +Gerard Blacklock
Colour – there are far more tonal variations that are lost in the B&W version. Beautiful image! T
Very seldom do I ever like a B&W photo over colour. Just seems to be something missing form the B&W.

I like both ..and veer slightly toward the B/W. The green moss pulls my eye to it.
Nice capture!

Color for sure (for me) 🙂
