We must have past hundreds of these creeks and rivers flowing down off the snow covered mountains, each cutting a path through the rocks and forest. This one, Hjalma was a short walk from our airbnb farm house (thanks Trygve) so after the girls had gone to sleep and the petti-coat government was planning our trip to a 600 year old monastery i wandered down for a look. It had just stopped raining and it was getting pretty late, however as with summer in Norway the light lasts for ages (this was about 10pm), coming back to oz and having the sun go down at 5pm was a bit of a rude shock 🙂
Stunning ! Thanks for sharing your Trip with us :))

Very nice shot.
The colours of wet rock and tree glow from the full screen image. I can almost smell the magical scent of the firs and hear the whoosh of the running water. We used to have daylight until nearly 10 pm on Midsummer Day in Southern England, so I can imagine that the Norwegian summer nights must be light-filled and wonderful.
Thankyou for you comment and viewing my images +Loretta Jayne , much appreciated.

you nailed it, I can still recall the sound, almost too loud, of the water and the fresh wet smell of the pines just after it had rained.
