112 34 images, loaded into PS via statistics (maximum), cleaned up the plane trails and few annoying clouds then blended via the lighten mode.
Foreground shot is a separate image, from the same spot with some light painting.
Cheers to Rodney for reminding about this session – i only processed one picture from it last year 🙂
Exif / shot love:

Absolutely fantastic 😍
+Gerard Blacklock simply stunning Gerard, struggling to get my head around the idea of 112 images…. 🙂

thanks mate, just whack the camera on the tripod and let it fire off 40 sec shots continously for a couple of hours then stack them in PS – great way to burn thru the shutter count too 😉
Oh my !!! I am Speechless !!!!

+Gerard Blacklock terrific work Big G – love the darker take on this c/w Rodney's :))

+Gerard Blacklock love the star trails mate! Fantastic stuff! ☺👍
Positively stellar!
A lot of work but the result is superb.
Outstanding shot!
Love this take on this mate – especially that foreground Blue EL everywhere – I'm not sure how you ended up with 112 frames tho (40 sec each) – I didn't think we hung in there anywhere near that long?
Fantastic!

+Gerard Blacklock you're welcome mate! ☺
Ahh – make much more sense – mine was 39 frames 🙂 – you stuffed up the start of yours remember (30 second aperture priority rather than bulb or something) 🙂
+Rodney Campbell
the first few frames had lots of cloud up top.. so i ditched those.. i don't recall taking these at all 😉 sleep deprivation 🙂
