Mount Solitary. Chinamans Gulley
I love a good tent shot and equally love a great spot to camp, I walked into this campsite and knew straight away where I was gonna pitch my tent, although I’m certainly not the first in this spot between the two fallen trees, its a clear and well worn spot which provides many tie off points and also great protection.
I had just come back from sunset which was a leisurely 50 metres down the path at the lookout, probably could not have walked further than that after the marathon walk I had just done anyways, the light was fading fast and with a little extra torch light this scene came alive.
I’m glad i chose this campsite, the wind was absolutely howling in the night but this spot tucked down in the gulley is amazingly well sheltered which meant my tent barely felt a whisper of wind.
