Natural Frame

After spending quite sometime wandering around the lower part of the falls looking for a darn tree to frame the lower falls, this tree just jumped out and said frame me 🙂 Pure gnarliness – its like nature just knew what to do to make a nice image.

Once again, nature, 3.5 stars for you!

After ditching (sorry guys) +Suren J and +Rodney Campbell for my morning exercise (sand run follwed by rock run 😉 ) I finally came upon some very nice rock shelves which did lend them to be positioned with the moments of brilliant colour on the dark and threatening clouds.

A slight change from my usual displays of green mossy stuff – i came across this quite bizarre yellow rock coverings that seemed to be nicely timed with the predawn yellow of the sky.

Sharks Teeth

My thoughts go out to Zac and his mates/family who was mortally injured the other day in a shark attack just north of Coffs Harbour – way to young too die. Rest in peace buddy.

Thus, the image, a horizon that reminded me of the mouth of a shark, even more appropriate given Zac was body boarding at the time of the shark attack.

Green Balls

A small rugged section of coastline in the Royal National Park just 40 minutes south of Sydney. The RNP (Royal National Park) has an almost unlimited number of great locations from clifftops to rockshelfs to scrub and of course waterfalls.

This particular spot, Garie Beach is a very popular with keen Surfers and Bushwalkers – it is on the route for the Coastwalk which travels pretty much the full length of the park.

This sweet green mossy rocks jumped out at me and was perfectly timed as some nice cloud swept across to add some interest to the sky.

Note, Garie beach surf club and facilities are great, for something that has no connected power, water or sewerage its got damn good facilities, nicely done.

nope not the band, the falls

perfect conditions for a little LE, purely for the clouds of course. The tree on the top was just awesome, reminds me of a falls on the Gibb river road with a fat Boab tree on the top of the falls.

Stormy Sunrise

Some days images seem to leap out of the landscape, or seascape in this case, however this particular image certainly did not, almost deleted it… To make things worse it was pretty well underexposed, however alittle bash over the head and it made a few star rating.

I blame the 4 hours sleep..
