A bloke lost his life (has not been found yet) doing what he loves (taking photos) out on Little Bay on the weekend. This is a place which I love very much, its the closest ocean point for where I currently live and it has some really nice patches of rocky outcroppings and is not too busy, its also probably the place where I have taken the most number of seascape images over the years.. it is however a fairly infamous place now with quite a few people dying here. I am sure no one, including the chap on the weekend go out thinking that it could happen to them, hence its a timely reminder to take care, irrespective of whether your a fisherman, tog, or a early morning dog walker :)
(note this picture is a bit further south from little bay).

Gorgeous!
Wise words !! …and again all the very best in those sleep deprived days ahead !!…:-))
This is terribly sad. I have read about photographers going out in North Sea gales to photograph the crashing waves and being swept out to sea. Now that your family has expanded to three beautiful daughters plus your dear wife, I am sure that you will give this beautiful but hazardous location that respect it deserves.
+Gerard Blacklock It’s my pleasure to add your photo to our BTP PRO Landscape Featured Collection Be sure to follow our wonderful collections to see many great works in including yours. Have a wonderful day! Nancy Dempsey
+Carolyn Fahm , yes one must always take care and as you rightly point out, respect must be given, for we (humans) are certainly not natural ocean beings! Having done quite a bit of snorkelling and diving over the years I appreciate very much teh danger that waves on rocks present and particularly the whitewash which if you end up in there it does not matter how good a swimmer you may be..
