    🙂 well there was not much else to do up there 🙂 it was well before dawn hence still quite dark, the image was also a bit on teh under exposed side so I could have easily gone for 4-5 minutes I reckon – the long exposure is mainly for the car trails

    as +Ian L point out, you need to jump into bulb mode, next one after 30 seconds – you also then have to use a remote trigger.. although you can simply press the shutter button to open the shutter then press it again to close – a bit fiddly and potential to bump the camera…
