Its amazing to see the surf at work, slowly but surely moving the sand around and dislodging the rocks.
This particular rock is to the right of what is commonly known as the "elevator" on the southern end of Maroubra Beach, the " elevator" is a guaranteed fast moving rip which all the locals use as a speedy entry into the surf.

Breathing composition, colors and scenery! I had to stare at this for a few minutes… it's simply amazing. Beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing with +Everything Red ! 🙂
+Donna St. Pierre thankyou for the compliment, in my books if I get hooked on a image for more than a minute than its gotta be pretty darn good so that means alot.
have a great week and thanks for lookign and commenting.
Gerard Blacklock did you use a ND filter? if so what strength?
Hey +Darcy Foott , this was taken with a 0.9 Graduated Filter (LEE), which is 3 stops and polariser, the polariser does drop a stop or so.
Hope this helps.
cool thanks
🙂
+Darcy Foott , also this was taken with the Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 – which you were asking about in the Landscape Community!
yeah i was haha. well thats great because i ordered one and this image looks awesome. how do you rate the lens? ive heard some pretty good reviews about it. i really want it for some wide angle night shots with things like grain silos in the foreground.
hey +Darcy Foott brilliant lens, the only downfall is the limited focal range, if they made it a 11-20 i would give it 10/10
for night work, at 2.8 it is pretty damn good, that extra stop of light is crucial for this stuff.
awesome cant wait till mine arrives
🙂
